Our Role in Launching adidas Cricket Kits for our UK Teams

To support the launch of the limited overs kits for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, Nottinghamshire Outlaws, and The Blaze, we worked closely with both clubs to produce 2D and 3D content.

For the T20 kits, we created a concept that placed their modern, high-performance designs within the timeless setting of village cricket. This deliberate contrast between elite sport and grassroots charm produced a striking visual narrative, highlighting the evolution of the game while anchoring the kits in cricket’s rich heritage.

Gloucestershire Cricket

Marking the first launch in an exciting four-year partnership between Specialist Sports and Gloucestershire Cricket, we delivered two distinct shoots for their One Day and T20 kits.

The One Day kit was captured in an authentic changing room environment at the club, with a focus on a historic debut season for Gloucestershire’s Women’s team.

In contrast, the T20 kit was captured at a local community ground, championing a kit fit for professionals in a traditional environment.

Both launches were featured on the adidas Cricket Instagram channel in collaboration with Gloucestershire Cricket. A wide selection of content was delivered to the club, for their use across digital and social.

Notts Outlaws and The Blaze

To showcase the visually striking Notts Outlaws and The Blaze kits, we went back to their roots (quite literally) by shooting at Edwinstowe Cricket Ground, on the edge of Sherwood Forest.

Inspired by the county’s forestry heritage, we created a campaign that brought this identity to life through dynamic visuals. This resulted in a striking and memorable story told through every frame.

How were Specialist Sports Creation involved?

Specialist Sports Creation(SSC) led the full design and development of the Notts CCC and The Blaze 2025 match day kits, from concept to final execution. In close collaboration with adidas, SSC delivered a full creative service including visual storytelling, graphics, colour palette development, garment detailing, and multi-format delivery.

Each kit was built on a strong narrative foundation:

  • Deep Rooted (T20) draws inspiration from the enduring strength of Sherwood Forest
  • Get Connected (One Day Cup) references the county’s colourful fashion heritage
  • The County Championship kit returns to tradition with timeless tailoring and classic detailing

By managing the entire process with our adidas license partners, SSC ensured every design element aligned with both performance needs and brand storytelling, creating kits that perform on the pitch and connect emotionally with fans.

Both shoots were successful in their creative execution, producing a full suite of 2D and 3D content used across each club’s media channels. This boosted awareness for the new kits and ultimately drove strong sales. By blending tradition with innovation, the campaign deepened club identities and fan connection.
